Well, I suspect a good old-fashioned, rip-roaring global recession will fix the unrestrained, runaway corporate obsession with high-priced form substituting for function in the motorcycle market. Local dealers here don't seem to be reducing inventory very quickly, and it IS riding season now. |

It's not just the green paint but all the machined parts as well which are quite a few in number. You get completely adjustable footpegs and gear shift levers and many other parts. even the entire front case is machined. The paint was prolly 600 .... I got all the stuff on my 22". I tried the foot pegs in all the positions and then ended up putting them right back where they set them up. The service manager is even shorter than me. The lowest setting felt several inches lower, but I have short legs (30 inch pants). I got the white and red paint frame and the forged wheels on my as well and it cost a bundle. Seems like each thing was about a thousand more, the wheels, two different 719 packages, and the paint then later the bags and all the up grades. larry l langford |

Yesterday, parked across from Alice's restaurant, I saw a beautifully red painted Norton 850 electric start model and a new Moto Guzzi V100. The owner of the Guzzi (not the Norton, lol) showed off the wind-deflecting wings and a very nice dash display. BTW, the small windshield goes up and down with the push of a button. He said that he used to ride a BMW boxer which he said was much smoother than the Guzzi - but the Guzzi has more "character".

I bet it won't be long before the parking lot regulators paint over the "e" in "care" on the sign - assuming of course, that the lot owners ever look at their sign.

Here are a couple of vehicles that were parked at Alice's restaurant today. A Husquvarna 701 with more stick-on graphics than paint (talk about bold new graphics!) and a Polaris Slingshot that had brochures on its window advertising that you can get one to rent.

Parked at Alice's restaurant was a very clean, if not entirely original, 1967 Jaguar E-type coupe automatic, photos attached. And two more photos of a Lotus Turbo Esprit that was parked across the street along Skyline Boulevard.
