Just joined, having bought a 2016 r1200rs yesterday with delivery this coming Tuesday.

I've been riding a 2012 r100gs for several years and this is a second bike for me.

Any heads up issues I should be aware of? I checked recalls, just some silly reflector recall I'm not all that concerned about.

Welcome to the forum.
These RS's are generally VERY reliable. Just keep up with the maintenance and ride it!

We had both of ours replaced July 2016.
Build date on my bike was Feb 2016.
Build date on Deb's was Aug 2015.

Her updated clutch slave went out April 2017 when we were in Texas.
Maybe you don't want the updated one :)

Lee, are you and the Mrs. using the stock windscreen? Thoughts? I'm a tad over 5'9", inseam 31". The bike has the risers already installed.

If not the oem screen, which are you using, and it's advantages?

I've now read, leave the screen down, less noise.

Both of us use the stock shield and prefer a low shield over a tall shield.
Both of use leave the shield in the low position.
I'm 6' with 34" inseam and Debbie is 5' 10" with 34" inseam.

Here's the ride, Lee, are you two using the stock seat? I find it's comfortable so far but not sure on long distance hours upon hours of riding. Any incite would be appreciated
