Tyres, Brakes and Suspension » 2016 with 45,000-miles and a new sensation

Lately, I've come to notice a slight twitch or pulse sensation in the bars as the bike comes to a stop, especially, at low speeds. I've torqued all the fork tube and brake caliper bolts, which didn't have an impact. Any thoughts?

I had a pulsing feeling on my other bike at slow speed and it turned out the brake discs were slightly warped but were within MOT tolerance. May be worth adding to the things to check list.

Somewhere on the web, I found a recommendation to clean the brake rotors with soap & water or, better yet, isopropyl alcohol, which I have on hand. Anyhow, after a good cleaning of the rotors, any torquing or twitching sensation was greatly reduced.

I recall this being a thing on sports bikes 20 years ago due to the relatively soft pads used. People thought their discs were warped but just a built up of pad material.

While slowing do you still get the front vibration while letting off the brakes and only using only engine braking? ... if so might just be the bike telling you it's time for a new tire.
