New Member Introductions » Good afternoon to all from another Newbie.

Pleased to say that as of yesterday I have a new R1250RS Exclusive to play with. only 250 miles to date, but very happy with the purchase. So far, I've put on an MRA Vario screen, grip puppies and a Puig hugger. I'm thinking of putting on the Motomate sat nav mount
and also Hornig bar risers, but wondered if the risers mean that the clutch and brake reservoirs might foul the bottom of the sat nav? If anybody has any info I'd be grateful.

Lovely bike, I have the same model, with a very similar mileage, very pleased with it so far, not added anything to it and the only slight modifications I have made so far was to tilt the sat nav holder to make it more visible and put the windscreen onto its lowest setting to reduce wind noise. Plan is to get to know it over the summer and then add bits as and if required.

Hi Andy,
If you use the bar risers that bring the bars back as well then you'll be fine, I have had one customer with just straight risers that caused the clutch reservoir to foul the bottom of the nav.

I picked up my Exclusive on Saturday and have just done under the 300 mile mark on Sunday.

The only change i have on mine is the old fashioned belly pan from factory, just as on the Sport version, i am hopefully going to change the air filter to a K&N and also maybe the Remus or SC Project exhaust.

I was thinking of changing the Sat Nav mount, but to be honest, i used the BMW turn by turn Nav via the app and it was fantastic.

Hi Wayfarer,
I've found with the vario screen ( had them on a number of bikes ) that it is far quieter, and in the higher position is ideal for any long distance travel and you can then put it into the lower position for having a blast round the twisties. Screens however are all different to different people. I'm 5'8" and it works for me.
Let's see what we think when we have a few more miles on the clock.

Will have a look into these as found that original screen in lowest position was ok at 60+ but appeared to a lot of wind noise 40 to 50mph, but also playing with different ear plugs to try and find a solution
