Has anyone tried to mount the small soft bmw tailbag on the grab handles or does it have to be on the luggage rack?

Yes currently have R1200R. Looking at a new R1250RS exclusive and the carrier is now extra. As I don't take a pillion could use the seat, was just a thought as there seems to be two fixing panels on the bottom of the bag.

It does not sit well on the seat and the sleeve does not go over the pillion handles - they are too wide to allow the bag to slide into the correct place. Yes Lee it is the same as the one in your post that I have. Just added the rack to the list for new bike.😁
