Hi TenCats. Is that Bos exhaust specific for the R1250, or is it a R1200 model? I ask as SC project told me that their R1200 slip-ons wouldn't fit the 1250. If they do, I'll get a R1200 model can.

This is the same Bos can that was fitted on my 2018 R1200RS, compliant to EUR4, so without the adjustable valve.

So your 2018 R1200RS fitted to the stock 2019 R1250RS headers without any issue. Apologies for labouring the point but I just wanted to make sure you were using the stock R1250RS headers and not aftermarket items.
I don't want to run off and spend a load of money and things don't fit.
I assume that SC Project say the 2018 RS exhaust isn't suitable because its only Euro 4 compliant, not Euro 5.

What do you mean by "Headers"? The cilinders? It's only the silencer so no new pipes are fitted at all.

Tomorrow I'll see my BMW-dealer so I'll ask if they had to make any changes to make it fit. Don't think so as I did some research myself and found a comment on a Dutch GS forum where a 1200GS can was mounted on a 1250GS.

Cheers for that - sorry, by 'headers' I mean front pipes. Id appreciate your comments from your dealer, although if it was just the silencer then it ooks increasingly likely that Euro 4 silencers will fit. Happy Days...!!!

The dealer confirmed that the silencer fits without any problems. There's no experience yet regarding replacing the front pipes.

I got news that my RS 1250 will be at the dealers on Thursday. I dropped off my panniers and a helmet lock (Pirates Lair) to have them re-keyed to the new bike today. The dealer had a Blue Exclusive for its own stock (it was probably used for the week-end promotion) and "in the flesh" it looks better than the photographs. The Lupin was lovely (especially with the red Hornig stripe). The 1250 is sharper looking at the front but may look more distinguished but boring otherwise.
The centre strip to the "fuel tank" is a "lighter shade of pale", more silver than grey compared to the 1200 Lupin. The frame is about the same shade of paint as that panel (I saw it in an underground car park and I am bloody useless on colour).
I am getting the lid of the top box painted in the same blue so I should be able to tell "mine" from the guaranteed hordes of other new R1250RS that will be flooding the highways.
I actually swung a leg over the yellow RS they had in the showroom and I can tell no difference at all with the bike compared to the 1200 insofar as where the controls are and what they are. There are obvious differences to the headlights and instrument panel. There is a small difference to the centre panel of the petrol tank, it now has a "hump" at the base near the seat. I can't tell if the small BMW tank bag will still fit.
I have replaced my jacket with an identical one, and that has been modified as my old one had been, to better deal with "life" (mainly electronic access security). My new Arai is fitted with the Sena 10U and I am chomping at the bit and ready to go.
